Medical Chemical Peels
Reveal smoother, brighter, more youthful skin
What are Medical Peels?
Medical chemical peels use carefully formulated acids to remove damaged outer layers of skin, revealing the fresher, healthier skin beneath and stimulating new cell growth and collagen production.
Unlike over-the-counter products, medical-grade peels contain higher concentrations of active ingredients and penetrate deeper into the skin for more dramatic results. When administered by our trained medical professionals, these treatments can significantly improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.
Types of Medical Peels
Superficial (Light) Peels
Gentle peels that treat the outermost layer of skin (epidermis). Perfect for first-time peel patients or maintenance treatments.
- Common Acids: Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) like glycolic or lactic acid
- Downtime: Little to none; mild redness for a few hours
- Results: Brighter, smoother skin; minor improvement in fine lines
- Best For: Dull skin, mild texture issues, maintenance
Medium-Depth Peels
Penetrate to the upper dermis for more significant improvement in skin concerns.
- Common Acids: TCA (trichloroacetic acid), Jessner's solution
- Downtime: 5-7 days of peeling; temporary redness
- Results: Improved fine lines, pigmentation, and mild scarring
- Best For: Sun damage, age spots, moderate wrinkles, acne scars
Deep Peels
Intensive treatments that penetrate deeper for significant skin transformation.
- Common Acids: Phenol, high-concentration TCA
- Downtime: 2-3 weeks; significant peeling and healing
- Results: Dramatic improvement in wrinkles, scarring, and sun damage
- Best For: Deep wrinkles, significant sun damage, severe scarring
